Hieb Appointed to Board of Pardons and Paroles
PIERRE, S.D.- Attorney General Marty Jackley today announced the appointment of Jack Hieb of Aberdeen, SD to the Board of Pardons and Paroles. Hieb has been appointed to fill the vacancy created by the end of Meade County State’s Attorney Jesse Sondreal’s term of service on the board.
Hieb’s term will run through January 2014.
Hieb is a partner in the Richardson, Wyly, Wise, Sauck & Hieb Law Firm in Aberdeen, SD. He also served as Day County State’s Attorney from 1996 to 2000.
“Jack is a respected member of his community and is committed to public safety,” said Jackley. “His appointment to the Board is another example of his dedication to the State of South Dakota. I would also like to thank Meade County State’s Attorney Jesse Sondreal for his hard work on the Board and service to the people of South Dakota.”
Three of the nine board members are appointed by the Attorney General and this appointee was required by statute to be an attorney. This appointment is subject to confirmation by the South Dakota Senate.
