South Dakota Supreme Court Affirms Rape and Sexual Contact Conviction

PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today the South Dakota Supreme Court has affirmed, without written opinion, the conviction and sentence of Paul Michael Brewer. Brewer was convicted by a Bon Homme County Jury in March of 2017 for the rape and sexual contact with a child under the age of 16. Brewer was sentenced to 65 years in the state penitentiary in June 2017.

“This conviction and sentence involve very serious sexual acts against a child and we are pleased the South Dakota Supreme Court has affirmed this needed conviction and sentence,” said Jackley.
