PIERRE, S.D.  –   Local law enforcement confirm that the Parkston Police Department responded to an unresponsive 11-month-old child at a Parkston daycare at approximately 3:54 p.m. (CDT) on Monday, July 23, 2018.

An autopsy has been conducted and results are pending. Due to the nature of this type of autopsy, final results will take additional time. This investigation is ongoing and additional details will be released when available.

Agencies assisting in this investigation include the Parkston Police Department and the Division of Criminal Investigation.
