Prescription Drug Disposal Program Introduced in Pennington County
PIERRE, S.D.- Attorney General Marty Jackley, Rapid City Chief of Police Steve Allender and Pennington County Sheriff Don Holloway introduced today the Prescription Drug Disposal Program. This program allows citizens to drop off excess or unneeded prescription drugs for proper disposal. This program will eliminate the chance of unused or expired prescription drugs getting in the hands of people not authorized to take them. This program also allows for the most environmentally safe way to dispose of them.
Prescription drug abuse has dramatically increased over the past three years and programs like these have proven to be successful in combating this crime.
