Attorney General Jackley Announces 41 Organizations To Share $5 million in Victim Grants

PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announces that $5 million in grants will be shared by 41 organizations who will use the funds to assist children who have been abused or neglected, victims of domestic violence, and victims of sexual assault.

“These grants will provide the resources needed to allow these organizations to assist victims of serious crime,” said Attorney General Jackley. “Thank you to this year’s Legislature and Governor Noem for their support of this worthy project.”

Money for the grants was included in Senate Bill 168 which provides one-time general funds to be used for the grants. The grants are for organizations that do not receive full funding from the federal Victims of Crime Act grant.
