OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING REPORT RELEASED 

PIERRE, S.D.- Attorney General Larry Long and the Division of Criminal Investigation today released the results of their investigation into the officer involved shooting of Eric Albert Christianson. The investigation and report was requested by the Roberts County Sheriff’s Office.

The Division of Criminal Investigation immediately conducted the investigation into the incident which occurred on October 15, 2005. The report concludes that Roberts County Deputy Sheriff Tom McClelland followed departmental policy and South Dakota law regarding use of force.
