PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announces that one person has been arrested in a shooting that occurred Wednesday at a Milbank nursing home.

One person received minor injuries in the incident. There is no further danger to the public.

The incident took place at Avantara Milbank.

South Dakota’s Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is leading the investigation.

The suspect is in the process of being criminally charged and is presumed innocent under the U.S. Constitution.
