Ribbon Cutting and Building Dedication Planned for January 11th for the George S. Mickelson Criminal Justice Center
PIERRE, S.D. - Attorney General Larry Long announced today that the ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication of the new George S. Mickelson Criminal Justice Center will be held on Wednesday, January 11, beginning at 4:00 p.m. The South Dakota Legislature, local law enforcement, the South Dakota Congressional Delegation, tribal law enforcement representatives and several others have been invited.
A public open house is planned for Saturday January 14th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday January 15th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This will allow members of the public to tour the 151,000 square foot facility which includes the Attorney General Administration, Division of Criminal Investigation Administration, Law Enforcement Training, Forensic Lab, State Radio and the Emergency Operations Center.
