MEDIA ALERT 

PIERRE, S.D.- The Division of Criminal Investigation is releasing the following information regarding the Custer State Park drive-by shooting incident. 

The incident occurred on Tuesday August 8, 2006 involving members of two outlaw motorcycle gangs. The following individuals were arrested without incident in Custer State Park early this morning:

Chad John Wilson DOB 10-22-75 Linwood WA
John James Midmore DOB 10-22-73 Valparaiso IN
Both arrested for 5 Counts of Attempted Murder

Victims:

Two victims at the Rapid City Regional Hospital are in critical condition. One victim at a Sioux Falls hospital is in stable condition. Three other victims were treated and released.

A tentative bond hearing is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. The defendants will appear via television from the Pennington County jail. There are no other suspects at this time but the investigation is still ongoing. Several federal, state and local law enforcement agencies are assisting in the investigation.
