Attorney General Jackley Announces MMIP Conference Is Friday in Rapid City press release image

PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announces that the annual South Dakota Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) Conference is this Friday, May 1, 2026 in Rapid City.

“This year’s conference focuses on the pursuit of justice,” said Attorney General Jackley. “Topics include discussion on the processes, challenges and outcomes in unresolved Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons cases.”

Friday’s agenda features speakers discussing how to promote MMIP efforts in the public, through the legislative and legal processes, and hear from a survivor.

The event is 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday at the Best Western Ramkota, 2111 N. LaCrosse St., in Rapid City. To register for the conference, contact State MMIP Coordinator Allison Morrissette at allison.morrisette@state.sd.us
