STATE FILES MOTION TO INTERVENE IN NORTH DAKOTA LAWSUIT AGAINST THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS
(Pierre) – Governor Michael Rounds and Attorney General Larry Long today filed a Motion to Intervene as a plaintiff in North Dakota’s lawsuit against the Corps of Engineers. The motion was filed in the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota.
South Dakota seeks to protect its fishery and recreational resources along the Missouri River.
“All we are asking for is equitable treatment of all authorized purposes on the Missouri River and not just support for a handful of downstream barges,” said Rounds.
