GOVERNMENT OPENNESS TASK FORCE TO MEET IN MITCHELL
(Pierre) – Attorney General Larry Long announced today that the next meeting of the Government Openness Task Force will meet Wednesday, November 5 at 11:30 am in Mitchell. The meeting will be held at the Cabela’s Conference Room and is open to the public.
“Members of the task force joined this effort a year ago with separate missions,” said Long. “But we have made significant steps towards positive legislative changes. This is a clear sign of individuals working together to achieve collective success.”
The agenda for the 10th meeting will include proposed legislation from the Open Meeting Violations Committee, continuing discussions on proposed legislation of the “gag law,” and future activities of other subcommittees. These subcommittees include: storage, retrieval and access to electronic documents, record retention and reference, pamphlet, guides.
