DEADLINE FOR TAXOL CLAIMS EXTENDED UNTIL JANUARY 31, 2004 

(Pierre) – Attorney General Larry Long announced today that the deadline to file claims for reimbursement in the Taxol settlement has been extended to January 31, 2004. The extension was granted by the court. 

South Dakotans who purchased Taxol or paclitaxel between January 1, 1999 and February 28, 2003 may be eligible to file a refund claim. Taxol is a prescription drug, which is used in chemotherapy to fight certain forms or ovarian, breast, lung cancers and Kaposi’s Sarcoma.
