Openness Task Force Meeting 

(Pierre) – Attorney General Larry Long invites the public to the next Openness Task Force Meeting to be held April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. in the Legislative Conference Room 1 and 2 at the State Capitol. 

In the upcoming meeting the Openness Task Force will be focusing on issues pertaining to South Dakota's open meetings law. A question to be addressed is whether the task force will recommend legislative changes in the law to accommodate recent technology, changes in federal law, or other public needs. The task force has developed a list of issues that it is considering regarding this and other issues. The list is available on the Attorney General's website, http://atg.sd.gov/. The Attorney General encourages anyone to leave comments regarding any of these topics on the website or to participate at the next meeting.
