MITCHELL MAN VIOLATES PROBATION AND SENTENCED TO STATE PENITENTIARY
(Pierre) – Attorney General Larry Long announced that Justin Douglas Brende, 23, of Mitchell, was sentenced today in 1st Circuit Court to 10 years in the state penitentiary for a violation of his probation. In September 2002, Brende pleaded guilty to four felony counts of possessing child pornography and was placed on 20 years probation and required to serve 6 months in the county jail.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Todd Love and investigated by the Division of Criminal Investigation.
