ATTORNEY GENERAL LARRY LONG RELEASES OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING REPORT 

PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Larry Long and the Division of Criminal Investigation today released the results of their investigation into the officer involved shooting of Justin James Anderson. The investigation and report was requested by the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office and the Rapid City Police Department. The Division of Criminal Investigation immediately conducted the investigation into the incident which ended during the early morning of 05-24-04. The report concludes that the Special Response Team followed departmental policy and South Dakota law regarding use of force.
