OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING REPORT RELEASED 

PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Larry Long and the Division of Criminal Investigation today released the results of their investigation into the officer involved shooting of Trenton W. Elliott. The investigation and report was requested by the Rapid City Police Department. The Division of Criminal Investigation immediately conducted the investigation into the incident which ended during the evening of May 28, 2004. The report concludes that the officers of the Rapid City Police Department followed departmental policy and South Dakota law regarding use of force.
