ATTORNEY GENERAL LARRY LONG SEEKS INFORMATION REGARDING NEW JERSEY COLLECTION AGENCY 

PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Larry Long is asking South Dakota consumers to call the Consumer Protection Division if they have been contacted by a collection agency called “JBC Legal Group.” This company has already been sued in Minnesota and West Virginia. According to the pending litigation, JBC Legal Group sent letters to consumers wrongfully threatening them with a lawsuit and accusing them of criminal fraud while attempting to collect alleged bad checks. 

“We have received inquiries about this company and we are seeking information from South Dakota consumers,” said Long. 

Long said that consumers who have been contacted by JBC Legal Group should call the Consumer Protection Division at 1-800-300-1986.
