ATTORNEY GENERAL LARRY LONG REMINDS SOUTH DAKOTA CONSUMERS OF MEDICAID FRAUD TOLL FREE NUMBER 

PIERRE, S.D. – In an effort to improve services available to South Dakotans, Attorney General Larry Long announced today that he has installed a 1-888 toll free line for South Dakota citizens to call his Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. The number is 1-888-497-3100. 

The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit investigates and prosecutes all forms of provider fraud and abuse relating to the Medicaid Program. The MFCU seeks to recover monies improperly paid by the Medicaid Program and to prosecute criminal conduct. In addition to provider fraud the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit also investigates and prosecutes acts of abuse and neglect.
