Investigation Continues in Custer County Shooting

PIERRE, S.D.- On August 19, 2007, the Custer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at a residence in the Custer Highlands Development, located 30 miles west of Custer, SD. Local law enforcement determined that a shooting had occurred and one male subject was found dead at the scene as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest. The male subject was identified as Kevin Dale Fiscus, 39, Upton Wyoming. Law enforcement have identified those who were involved in the incident and they are cooperating, but no arrests have been made at this time.

The Custer County Sheriff’s Office and the Division of Criminal Investigation are continuing to investigate the case.
