State Gets Grant to Help with DNA Analysis Program
The U.S. Department of Justice has awarded a $100,000 grant to the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office. Senator John Thune says the money will be used to help the Attorney General’s office with its DNA analysis program. Thune says DNA analysis can help innocent people charged with crimes to go free and can also bring guilty people to justice. He says the state’s DNA analysis program will benefit from the assistance provided by the National Institute of Justice.
