Memorial Service Planned for South Dakota Law Enforcement Officers
PIERRE, S.D.- Attorney General Larry Long would like to ask South Dakotans that during the week of May 11-17 to take a moment to reflect on the contributions that police officers make to our communities and to honor those officers who have been killed in the line of duty.
"Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line each day to make South Dakota a safe place,” said Long. “Please, take some time this week to thank your local officers and remember those who sacrificed their lives for our safety."

Prior to the service, a wreath laying ceremony will be held at Capitol Lake, followed by a motorcade which will travel from the Hughes County Jail to the Church of Christ.
