Former Rapid City Police Officer Pleads Guilty to Theft by Embezzlement 

PIERRE, S.D.-   Attorney General Larry Long announced that Brent L. Nelson, 46, Rapid City plead guilty today in 7th Circuit Court, to one count of Grand Theft by Embezzlement. Today’s plea stems from the theft of funds from the Rapid City Peace Officers’ Association.

Sentencing has been scheduled for December 19 at 8:45 a.m. in Rapid City. 

The case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Heidi Linngren.
