Attorney General Long Appoints New Member to the Board of Pardons and Paroles

PIERRE, S.D.-    Attorney General Larry Long today announced the appointment of Jesse B. Sondreal of  Sturgis, S.D. to the Board of Pardons and Paroles. Sondreal will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Jerome Lammers. 

His term will expire in January 2010.

Sondreal currently hold the position of Meade County States Attorney, prior to that he served as a deputy states attorney in both Meade and Pennington Counties. 

“Jesse has a strong background in law enforcement and is committed to public safety”, said Long. “His appointment to the Board is another example of his dedication to serve the State of South Dakota.”

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the South Dakota Senate.
