Attorney General Announces Consumer Protection Week, Feb 3 - 9

(Pierre) – Attorney General Mark Barnett has announced South Dakota is participating in the fourth annual National Consumer Protection Week.  The Attorney General’s website is featuring new tips for keeping consumers safe while they are online.

“Consumer safety is a great concern and this week is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the dangers lurking on the Internet.  Our office has a long standing commitment to helping consumers, and this is one more way to help keep consumers informed.” commented Barnett.

Monday thru Friday this week the Attorney General’s website will offer a new tip for staying safe in cyberspace. Monday’s tip talks about privacy policies and keeping your personal information personal while you’re surfing the net.
