PIERRE, S.D.-   Attorney General Marty Jackley and Deuel County State's Attorney Gregory Stoltenburg report that during the early morning hours of September 26, 2010, a report was received by the Deuel County Sheriff's Office regarding a break-in and shooting that occurred in Goodwin, SD.  Investigating agencies include the Deuel County Sheriff's Office and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation.  At this time, Eric J. Mead, age 38, of Goodwin is charged with 1st Degree Burglary; Walter A. Erickson Jr., age 44 of Clear Lake is charged with Aiding and Abetting 1st Degree Burglary. Both parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The next court appearance for both individuals is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Deuel County Courthouse in Clear Lake, SD.
