PIERRE, S.D.- A joint narcotics investigation in the Sturgis area has lead to one arrest and several pending. David Tammi, 41, Sturgis, was arrested today in connection with this investigation. Local, state and federal investigators together served several search warrants today as part of this ongoing investigation. These warrants resulted in the recovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia, along with a large amount of cash. Tammi is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Those involved in today’s operation, include the Sturgis Police Department, Pennington County/Rapid City Special Response Team, South Dakota National Guard Counter Drug, DEA, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation and the Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team (UNET).
