Chris A. Miller Indicted Today in Bon Homme County on Murder Charges

 

PIERRE, S.D.- Attorney General Marty Jackley and Bon Homme County States Attorney Lisa Rothschadl announced today that Chris A. Miller, 37, Scotland, was indicted today on two alternative counts including one count of second-degree murder, class B felony with a mandatory penalty of life in prison and one count of first-degree manslaughter, class C felony with penalty up to life in prison. Miller was also indicted on one count of aggravated assault for a child under 3 years of age, a class 2 felony with a maximum penalty of 25 years in the state penitentiary.   
 
Miller is presumed innocent until proven guilty. 
 
This case continues to be investigated by the Division of Criminal Investigation and the Bon Homme County Sheriff’s Office. Miller’s arraignment is scheduled for March 23, 2011, at the Bon Homme County Courthouse at 10:00 a.m.
