PIERRE, S.D – Attorney General Marty Jackley confirms that the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, at the request of the Sioux Falls Police Department, is investigating the officers involved shooting that occurred May 18, 2011.
At the completion of the investigation, the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation will issue a case report and shooting summation to be reviewed by the Attorney General, Minnehaha County State’s Attorney and the Sioux Falls Police Department for a final determination on the officers’ actions.
