PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley confirms today that Cody G. Engen, 22, Custer, was the shooting suspect in the Custer County incident of September 6, 2010.
The DCI investigation is ongoing and upon completion, it will issue a case report and shooting summation to be reviewed by the Attorney General, Custer County State’s Attorney and the Custer County Sheriff’s Office for a final determination on the officers’ actions. The release of the summary report is anticipated within 30 days.
