Senior Citizen Handbook is Available Online

(Pierre) –Attorney General Mark Barnett announced today that the 2002 Senior Citizen Handbook is available online.

“This gives South Dakota seniors one more way to access information about Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security,” said Barnett. “The information in this book offers common sense advice and will hopefully help seniors wade through the issues facing them.”

The handbook also contains information about investment scams, estate planning, legal services and consumer protection. South Dakotans can get a look at the handbook by visiting the Attorney General’s website at www.state.sd.us/attorney/index.htm.

Nearly 8,000 handbooks have been delivered to seniors across South Dakota. Many of the copies went to senior centers, nursing homes, and assisted living centers.
