New Underwood Man Arrested on Rape and Sexual Contact Charges

PIERRE, S.D  -   Attorney General Marty Jackley and Meade County States Attorney Kevin Krull said today that Dale Denis Davis, 48, New Underwood, registered sex offender, has been arrested and charged with two counts of 4th degree rape, class 3 felony, maximum penalty of 15 years imprisonment and/or $30,000 fine and 2 counts of sexual contact with a child under 16 years, class 3 felony, maximum penalty of 15 years and/or $30,000 fine. 
Davis is presumed innocent until such time as proven guilty.
Agencies that assisted in this arrest were the Meade County Sheriff’s Office, Meade County States Attorney’s Office, Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Pennington County States Attorney’s Office, Rapid City Police Department, Sturgis Police Department, Department of Homeland Security and the Division of Criminal Investigation.
