Public Meeting Agenda for Corps of Engineers Plan for Reallocation and Charge for Water

PIERRE, S.D  -   Attorney General Marty Jackley is reminding concerned citizens that the Corps of Engineers will conduct a public meeting today at the Ramkota Hotel in Pierre, to address the reallocation and cost of surplus water on the Missouri River Reservoir System.  The meeting will include the Corps’ plans to begin charging for stored water in the upper basin state reservoirs.
The Corps has indicated that the format is as follows:
4:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.- open house and proposed discussion
6:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.- formal presentation by the Corps
6:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.- state official and public open microphone comment
