Wagner Man Sentenced on Drug Charges in Charles Mix County
PIERRE, S.D.- Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that Taylor Cournoyer, 21, Wagner, was sentenced to serve 15 years with 5 years suspended for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and 10 years with 7 years suspended for keeping a place for use or sale of controlled substances.
Charges stem from an incident that occurred on July 4, 2012, involving the death of a 2 year-old child.
This case was investigated by the Division of Criminal Investigation and prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office with assistance by the Charles Mix County States Attorney.
