Turner County Sheriff’s Office Awarded Money for New Vehicle from Drug Control Fund
PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that the Turner County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded $15,000 for the purchased of a new vehicle to be used in drug investigations. The money was awarded out of the Drug Control Fund. The award will assist local law enforcement in drug control and apprehension purposes.
“The Drug Control Fund allows law enforcement statewide to request funds to offset expenses that arise from drug control efforts,” said Jackley. “This award is not only beneficial to the communities in Turner County, but to law enforcement and public safety in surrounding communities.”
