Arrest Warrants Served in Roberts County

Arrest Warrants Served in Roberts County


 
 
PIERRE, S.D.-   Attorney General Marty Jackley and Roberts County States Attorney Kerry Cameron announced today that several individuals from the Sisseton area were arrested and charged on various drug charges as the result of two search warrants served earlier today.

The following were arrested:

Joseph Jonah Huizinga, 20, Sisseton
-one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine and a one year mandatory sentence
-one count of possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine
-one count of keeping a place for use or sale of controlled substances, class 5 felony, punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and/or $10,000.
-one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, class 2 misdemeanor

Jenifer Denise Lang, 26, Sisseton
-one count of possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine
-one count of keeping a place for use or sale of controlled substances, class 5 felony, punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and/or $10,000
-one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, class 2 misdemeanor

Anthony Michael Sheffield, 23, St. Paul, MN
-one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine
-one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, class 2 misdemeanor

Peter Charles Stewart, 51, Sisseton
-one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine
-one count of keeping a place for use or sale of controlled substances, class 5 felony, punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and/or $10,000.
-one count of distribution in a drug free zone (school), class 4 felony, 5 year mandatory sentence
-one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine and a one year mandatory minimum sentence.

Thomas Eugene Thode, 53, Sisseton
-one count for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine
-one count of keeping a place for use or sale of controlled substances, class 5 felony, punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and/or $10,000
-one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, class 2 misdemeanor

Gayle Marie Wallin, 54, Sisseton
-one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine.
-one count of keeping a place for use or sale of controlled substances, class 5 felony, punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and/or $10,000

Alexander James Wallin, 23, Sisseton
-one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine
-one count of one count of keeping a place for use or sale of controlled substances, class 5 felony, punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and/or $10,000

Brandon Michael Wendel, 32, Sisseton
-one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine
-one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, class 2 misdemeanor

All the above individuals are presumed innocent until such time as proven guilty.

Agencies that assisted in these arrests were the Sisseton Police Department, Roberts County Sheriff's Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol and the Division of Criminal Investigation.
