Sioux Falls Man Sentenced for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
PIERRE, S.D.- Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that Lorenzo Frank Brown Jr., 24, Sioux Falls, was sentenced to 180 days in jail with four years of probation and granted a suspended imposition of sentence for sexual acts between jail employees and detainees and sexual exploitation of a minor.
Charges stem from an incident that occurred in June of 2012 at the Minnehaha Juvenile Detention Center. The Division of Criminal Investigation was notified by Minnehaha Juvenile Detention Center staff for possible criminal activity involving Brown and a juvenile inmate that was housed at the facility. Brown was employed as a juvenile detention officer at the time of his arrest.
This case was investigated by the Division of Criminal Investigation with assistance from the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
