Jerauld County Sheriff’s Office to Receive Money for Drug Testing Kits and K9 Unit Equipment
PIERRE, S.D - Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that the Jerauld County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded $715 to purchase drug testing kits and equipment for K9 Unit to be used in drug investigations. The money was awarded out of the Drug Control Fund. The award will assist local law enforcement in drug control and apprehension purposes.
“The Drug Control Fund was created for exactly this type of expenditure to assist law enforcement in protecting our communities from monies taken from criminal activity,” said Jackley.
"I appreciate the help from the Attorney General’s Office. The financial assistance they have provided is a huge help with an agency that has a small budget such as mine,” said Jerauld County Sheriff Jason Weber.
