Charles Mix County Sheriff’s Office Awarded New Vehicle
with Help from Drug Control Fund
PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley announced today that the Charles Mix County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded $22,449 for a new vehicle to be used in drug investigations. The money was awarded out of the Drug Control Fund. The award will assist local law enforcement in drug control and apprehension purposes.
“This award is in response to the significant public safety issues experienced as a result of methamphetamine abuse,” said Jackley. “The award supports the collaborated effort amongst state and local law enforcement to continue to provide public safety statewide.”
“I would like to thank Mr. Jackley for the award of this funding towards the purchase of a vehicle to be utilized in the course of drug investigations within Charles Mix County. It is an essential piece of equipment that is needed to combat illegal drugs within Charles Mix County and its communities,” said Charles Mix County Sheriff Randy L. Thaler.
