Proposed sublease

Dear Dr. DeZonia:

You have asked whether the proposed sublease which you have submitted to this office is legal and advisable.

First, as to the advisability of the sublease, this is a matter for the Board of Regents, not the Attorney General.

Second, as to the proposed sublease, in Official Opinion 75-20, it was my opinion that the Board of Regents had the authority to enter into such a sublease. I adhere to that opinion. The proposed sublease appears to be a valid and legal document within the powers of the Board of Regents.
