Health Care

As our state's population ages, more and more seniors and their families will face health care decisions. Making those decisions can be very difficult. When that time arrives, all available options should be discussed with a doctor. Obtaining as much information as possible will help you make important health care decisions.

While patients who are capable of making their own decisions have the right to do so, options should also be discussed with family, who can be helpful in making those decisions. And for those who are unable to make their own decisions, options are available as described in the Estate Planning section of this site.

This section provides some insight into basic health care concerns and some of your legal rights regarding health care. For more in-depth questions, consult your physician or health care provider.
